Job Description

  • Ensure the effective delivery of legal advice on children’s social care, including  Court of Protection cases, education law and adult social care law.  To include SEND advice,  school admission, school attendance, advice to panels hearing appeals against refusal of home to school transport and school admission appeals.
  • Manage a mixed case load of Court of Protection cases; welfare application, section 21A appeals and  applications under the Re X process.  Education queries, including judicial reviews, particularly responding to pre-action protocol letters.  The post does not include public child care proceedings.
  • It is essential that you have a sound understanding of adult and children’s social care law, Court of Protection law and education law and can demonstrate knowledge of Data Protection law.
  • You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and effective IT skills
  • Attend Court when requested Remotley and in person
  • Chairing Round Table Meetings(Remotely)
