Key Responsibilities:
- Create and implement the property group plan for the preventive maintenance and development of the organisation’s property portfolio.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and partners.
- Maintain a comprehensive property register, identifying stations and workplaces requiring works to meet health and safety standards and environmental objectives.
- Contribute to effective partnership working to improve service quality, efficiency, and operational effectiveness.
- Ensure all property operations comply with legal requirements, technical standards, and industry best practice.
- Provide strong management leadership and support across the property function.
- Support delivery of group and organisational objectives in line with organisational values and codes of ethics.
- Work collaboratively with managers across departments to ensure a coordinated and consistent approach to all workstreams.
- Attend organisational meetings and represent the property function as required.
- Manage property-related budgets, determine resource requirements, and make recommendations for expenditure in line with departmental business plans.
- Identify opportunities for collaboration and partnership working with key stakeholders and service providers.
- Ensure management information systems provide accurate and relevant reporting to support informed strategic decision-making.
- Continually review workstreams, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement agreed changes to enhance service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation and regulations across the property portfolio.
- Manage payment of business rates, utilities, and associated property costs.
- Manage tenant relationships and oversee invoicing processes to recover expenditure and maximise revenue return.
