Housing Compliance And Enforcement Officer needed in Warwick, £20.70ph PAYE - Reference: 5298904
To case manage serious or complex cases of antisocial behaviour, racial harassment and other breaches of tenancy agreements or leases, working collaboratively with housing officers to ensure a seamless service to customers.
To ensure thorough investigation of allegations, evidence gathering, preparing legal documents, and supporting witnesses throughout the process.
To provide advice and support to housing officers to enable them to manage cases of antisocial behaviour and tenancy or lease breach using the tools available.
Contribute to decisions on legal action on individual cases, making recommendations on appropriate remedies.
Provide support and advice to housing officers on gathering appropriate evidence, preparing cases for court and drafting witness statements.
Promote anti-social behaviour initiatives and success widely through a variety of media and develop and implement preventative and diversionary measures.
Prepare files and paperwork for legal action and presentation to court, attending court as appropriate.
Ensure all cases referred for legal action are evidentially sound for court and reflect current case law to ensure value for money of legal costs.
To maintain accurate up to date records relating to casework, in accordance with procedure.
To promote community involvement in preventing and resolving anti-social behaviour cases by participating in resident and area meetings and working with all partners to resolve cases and consider referrals for mediation or restorative justice.
Collaborate and work closely with partners and external agencies, attending meetings as required to maximise resources and deliver shared outcomes.
Take responsibility for ensuring that young and vulnerable people are appropriately safeguarded.
This is a full time role on a temporary contract basis.
