Full time hours on a temporarybasis
Responsibilities
- We’re seeking a detail-oriented Highways Inspector to oversee the construction of specific infrastructure elements on the A428 Development Consent Order (DCO) scheme that will become assets. This role focuses on inspecting overbridges and junctions — not the mainline dual carriageway — ensuring compliance with approved designs and standards.
- Key Sites Include:
- Potton Road Overbridge
- Cambridge Road Junction
- Toesland Road Overbridge
- Eltisley Junction
- Caxton Gibbet Junction
- Contact/Reporting: Conduct site visits to inspect earthworks and construction quality, review soil testing data, material tickets, and ensure compliance with approved drawings. Identify and escalate deviations or faults to the project sponsor and on-site supervisor.
- Use Skanska works vehicle for inspections, checking in at the Wintringham site office.
