Head of Service Development needed in Worcester Paying £44.75 per hr ref RQ1747130Full time hours on a temporary basis Key Responsibilities Lead the development and delivery of the procurement strategy for future waste disposal arrangements.

Provide expert advice on waste management, disposal infrastructure, procurement routes and market engagement.

Oversee the planning, governance and delivery of a major procurement programme from strategy through to contract award.

Build and maintain effective relationships with partners, advisors, government agencies and private sector organisations.

Facilitate and support strategic decision-making through established governance frameworks.

Identify, manage and mitigate programme risks, ensuring effective controls are in place throughout delivery.

Lead the production of high-quality reports, business cases, policy papers and presentations for senior stakeholders.

Present complex information and recommendations to executive leaders, boards, committees and external stakeholders.

Ensure compliance with procurement legislation, regulatory requirements and best practice in waste management.

Work collaboratively with operational teams and subject matter experts to ensure successful implementation.
