Grounds Operative needed in Abergavenny, £12.21ph PAYE – Reference: OR9354
37 hours per week basic, with a requirement to work up to 43 hours per week. The additional 6 hours will be accumulated as Flexi hours, which can be taken back from November to March.
Grounds maintenance provides an essential service in ensuring the Client delivers its aspirations of providing a safe, clean, and sustainable environment.
Grounds maintenance operatives, working individually or as a team, will maintain public open spaces, verges, planting areas, schools, and contracted sites to promote a quality green and sustainable environment.
The primary duties involve grounds maintenance activities. Occasionally, you may work as part of a street services team, maintaining local environmental quality, including litter picking and responding to fly-tipping. Waste loading will only be undertaken if the operative has indicated willingness to participate in such tasks (e.g., bank holiday catch-up).
