Highways Engineer needed in Doncaster Paying £45 per hr ref 000B 03B1 / 1 Full time hours on a temporary basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as project/programme manager for highway maintenance and improvement schemes.
- Supervise and provide technical oversight to Clerks of Works and site-based staff.
- Plan and deliver works programmes, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to specification.
- Apply strong engineering judgement to make informed technical decisions on design, materials, and delivery methods.
- Undertake and oversee site inspections, condition assessments, and feasibility studies.
- Promote and implement preventative maintenance techniques to extend asset life and reduce long-term costs.
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with health & safety, CDM regulations, and industry standards.
- Prepare and review technical specifications, cost estimates, and reports.
- Liaise with contractors, stakeholders, and internal teams to resolve issues and ensure smooth project delivery.
- Identify risks and implement solutions to maintain programme delivery.
