Highways Engineer needed in Doncaster Paying £45 per hr ref 000B 03B1 / 1 Full time hours on a temporary basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as project/programme manager for highway maintenance and improvement schemes.
  • Supervise and provide technical oversight to Clerks of Works and site-based staff.
  • Plan and deliver works programmes, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to specification.
  • Apply strong engineering judgement to make informed technical decisions on design, materials, and delivery methods.
  • Undertake and oversee site inspections, condition assessments, and feasibility studies.
  • Promote and implement preventative maintenance techniques to extend asset life and reduce long-term costs.
  • Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with health & safety, CDM regulations, and industry standards.
  • Prepare and review technical specifications, cost estimates, and reports.
  • Liaise with contractors, stakeholders, and internal teams to resolve issues and ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Identify risks and implement solutions to maintain programme delivery.
