We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to head up our client's Street Scene, Waste & Recycling services. This is a key senior management role responsible for delivering high-quality, clean and green services, shaping future service provision, and driving continuous improvement for residents and communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the operational delivery of Street Scene, Waste & Recycling services, including street cleansing, grounds maintenance, tree services and waste collection.
- Develop and implement service strategies, policies and improvement programmes.
- Oversee the client's Waste Strategy, ensuring alignment with wider environmental objectives.
- Manage budgets, resources, contracts and service performance to achieve value for money and excellent outcomes.
- Build effective relationships with senior leaders, elected members, partners, contractors and trade unions.
- Provide leadership during major incidents, emergencies and business continuity events.
- Contribute as a member of the senior management team.
