Clerk of Works needed in Doncaster. Paying £20.29 per hr. Full time hours on a temporary basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the delivery and management of highway surface treatment contracts, including development of works programmes.
  • Support delivery of projects on time and within budget, aligned with planned maintenance schedules.
  • Carry out site inspections and feasibility assessments, identifying suitable treatments and calculating material quantities and cost estimates.
  • Support contract administration, including:
    • Arranging and attending pre-start and progress meetings.
    • Maintaining CDM (Construction Design and Management) documentation.
    • Raising and coordinating Street works permits.
    • Assisting with retention sign-off in line with contract requirements.
  • Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and industry stakeholders regarding materials, specifications, working methods, and health & safety.
  • Assist in managing and responding to third-party insurance claims, including preparing documentation and attending legal proceedings where required.
  • Maintain project and compliance documentation, including evidence for funding or audit requirements.
  • Provide support for winter maintenance operations, including weather monitoring, gritting, and snow clearance activities.
