Mechanical Fitter needed in Knaresborough, £25ph PAYE - Reference: MF1
Responsibilities include:
- Rectifying problems on mechanical assets such as conveyor belts, pumps, gearboxes, valves and cranes.
- Carrying out fabrication work and general workshop duties.
- Being responsible for PPM and reactive maintenance work, ensuring the highest standards are set and maintained.
- Assisting with and actively participating in planned outages.
- Operating workshop machinery, fabrication, and refurbishment.
- Communicating problems and concerns promptly through line management ensuring quick resolution.
- Assisting in delivering Maintenance Team KPIs.
- Effectively using the site CMMS system.
- Participating in team briefings and toolbox talks.
- Ensuring full compliance with appropriate health, safety, quality and environmental standards, policies, and procedures.
- Working safely and efficiently to the site safety rules, under a safe system of work.
This is a full-time role on a temporary contract basis.
