Planning Officer needed in Newton Abbott Paying £35 per hr ref 5299979. Full time hours on a temporary basis.
Core Responsibilities:
- Assessing and determining planning applications.
- Applying Local Plan policies, planning legislation and other material considerations.
- Managing a caseload effectively to meet performance targets.
- Preparing officer recommendations and committee reports.
- Negotiating with applicants to improve development proposals.
- Providing pre-application planning advice.
- Preparing appeal statements and representing the authority at appeals.
- Conducting site inspections and investigating planning-related complaints.
- Assessing Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) liability.
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring statutory compliance.
