Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the operational delivery of statutory compliance programmes across the estate, ensuring all inspections, servicing, testing, and remedial actions are completed in line with legislation and best practice.
  • Act as the lead officer for day-to-day compliance management, overseeing:
    • Fire safety
    • Water hygiene (Legionella)
    • Electrical safety
    • Gas safety
    • Asbestos management
    • Lifts and other statutory building systems
  • Ensure compliance activities are effectively planned, tracked, and recorded using robust systems, maintaining clear audit trails and evidence.
  • Monitor and report on compliance performance, ensuring risks are identified, managed, and escalated appropriately.
  • Provide assurance to senior management that compliance risks are actively controlled and that the estate remains safe and compliant.
  • Oversee the progression of compliance-related works, ensuring timely completion and effective contractor performance.
  • Manage the Technical Compliance Officer and Business Support Officer, ensuring strong coordination, accurate record-keeping, and efficient service delivery.
  • Continuously improve compliance processes, systems, and reporting to enhance performance and transparency.
