Full time hours on a temporary basis
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on and manage a caseload of civil litigation matters on behalf of HB Public Law’s clients, including housing, homelessness and licensing work.
- Conduct legal files from instruction through to conclusion, including drafting, research, advice and representation as required.
- Attend meetings and court hearings, including those held off‑site and, where necessary, outside of normal office hours.
- Provide clear, proactive and politically sensitive advice to officers and members, including advising in public and formal forums where appropriate.
- Support the development of colleagues by providing guidance, mentoring and training to less experienced team members.
- Deputise for senior lawyers as required, ensuring continuity of service delivery.
- Contribute to service improvement and development initiatives alongside Team Leaders and Service Managers.
