Responsibilities:
- Deliver expert legal advice, representation, and case management on SEND-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with the Children and Families Act 2014 and related legislation, promoting lawful and fair decision-making.
- Lead weekly case management meetings with Senior Assessment Officers, advising on tribunal and mediation casework.
- Triaging tribunal and mediation cases to ensure timely and effective handling.
- Manage and represent in the most complex tribunal cases, including preparation and attendance at hearings.
- Provide legal support and guidance across the wider SEND team.
- Deliver training sessions on SEND legal processes and compliance.
- Quality assure case bundles to maintain accuracy and completeness.
