Full time hours on a temporary basis

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete purchasing and payment tasks across Children’s Social Care, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
  • Process and administer payments for:
  • Personal budgets for children with disabilities
  • Foster carers
  • Adoptive parents
  • Special Guardianship Order (SGO) allowances
  • External service providers and commissioned services
  • Maintain accurate financial records and update internal systems promptly.
  • Work closely with social workers, finance officers, and commissioning colleagues to verify information and resolve payment queries.
  • Ensure all payments follow internal financial procedures, audit requirements, and contractual agreements.
  • Respond to queries from carers, families, and providers in a professional and supportive manner.
  • Support monitoring of budgets, forecasting, and reporting as required.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of purchasing and payment processes.
