Full-time hours on a temporary basis
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Children and Families Lawyer to join our legal team. This is a key role for an experienced professional who can manage a complex caseload with minimal supervision and provide expert legal advice in both public and private children law matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently manage a caseload of complex, high-value, and sensitive legal matters relating to children and families.
- Conduct and manage legal applications under relevant legislation, including the Children Act 1989 and related statutory frameworks.
- Provide clear, timely, and politically sensitive legal advice to clients, particularly in relation to safeguarding.
- Work collaboratively with social care professionals, external counsel, and other stakeholders to ensure the best outcomes for children and families.
Desirable Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with a current practising certificate.
- Recent and extensive experience in public and private children law.
