Childcare Lawyer needed in Exeter, £42.67 ph PAYE – Reference: 5270892
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage a caseload in an area of law allocated.
- Respond to requests for advice, representation etc. from employees.
- Manage all aspects of court representation as required.
- Advise and/or present to courts, meetings, members at formal appeal hearings or as required by the County Solicitor.
- Assume a lead role in advising clients on specialist aspects of law and practice as required: procurement, employment, human rights, child care, adult social care, property; and organise/participate in training events as appropriate and/or necessary.
- Determine appeals under the Internal Dispute Resolution Procedure of the Local Government Pension Scheme and various internal appeal procedures if required.
- Take part in the Legal Services’ Out of Hours service to provide assistance to the Emergency Duty Team on matters of Childcare and Adult Social Care.
- Any other duties appropriate to the grade as may be assigned by one of the Legal Service managers.
This is a full‑time role on a temporary contract basis.
