Business Services Assistant needed in Darley Dale, Matlock, £12.21ph PAYE.
Contribute to the delivery of the purchasing, invoicing and payment functions of the business team within Highways Operations Service and across the broader highways department. Assist in the delivery of an efficient administrative service to Derbyshire Highways, including the implementation, development and maintenance of policies and procedures, providing excellent customer service.
Provide invoicing and payment support to a wide range of functions associated with Derbyshire Highways to support the Department’s objective of providing a safe and reliable highway network which may include highway maintenance, traffic management, streetworks and permits, payroll services, customer enquiries and insurance claims.
Contribute to the timely and accurate payment of supply chain partners through processing of invoices, application of Client policy and compliance with financial regulations. Receive and respond to enquiries from supply chain partners and internal service users, liaising with colleagues to provide accurate timely responses to enquiries and issues.
Produce data analysis, in support of financial and contract monitoring and monitoring financial records. Responsible for the recording and processing of financial information, including orders and accounts and the processing/payment of invoices.
Liaise with suppliers on all aspects of their account and including the resolution of invoice/order queries in accordance with financial regulations. Responsible for the development and maintenance of document management and record keeping systems, in accordance with standard formats and service requirements.
Provide a reception service including answering/directing email and telephone enquiries, front of office reception and administration services.
This is a full-time role on a temporary contract basis.
