Event Steward

Days: Each Sunday from 7th June – 13th September 2026.

Time: 1pm – 5:30pm.

Hourly Rate: £12.71.

Location: Bromsgrove.

The successful candidate must undergo a basic DBS check.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as Event Site Co‑ordinator.
  • Set up and pack away the bandstand area and seating.
  • Collect and return keys via access code system and lock the Pavilion at the end of each event.
  • Manage site access arrangements, including parking bollards and assist with overflow car‑park management.
  • Provide access to electrical power (2x standard sockets available).
  • Ensure the park is left clean and tidy and carry out litter picking during performances.
  • Ensure Health & Safety procedures are adhered to.
  • Perform banksman duties when required, directing vehicles during loading/unloading.
  • Welcome bands on arrival and act as the main on‑site contact.
Qualifications & Needed Traits
  • Organised and dependable.
  • Confident communicating with performers and members of the public.
  • Awareness of Health & Safety procedures.
  • Comfortable with light manual handling (chairs, basic set‑up tasks).
  • Able to work independently.
