Responsibilities
- Investigate complaints relating to noise nuisance, statutory nuisance, air pollution, smoke, dust, odour, and other environmental protection matters.
- Undertake inspections, site visits, monitoring activities, and evidence gathering.
- Assess and determine environmental health cases in accordance with relevant legislation, policies, and guidance.
- Prepare reports, notices, witness statements, and documentation required for enforcement action and legal proceedings.
- Advise residents, businesses, and stakeholders on environmental protection matters and compliance requirements.
- Respond to service requests and enquiries within agreed timescales.
- Participate in out-of-hours investigations where required.
- Work closely with internal departments, regulatory bodies, and external partners to resolve environmental issues.
- Maintain accurate case records and contribute to service performance targets.
