Key Responsibilities
- Support delivery of diverse engineering and transport projects, including feasibility work, concept development, public engagement, design, inspections, assessments, procurement, and construction supervision.
- Apply specialist knowledge in traffic engineering, highway design and maintenance, civil and structural engineering, or street lighting to analyse complex issues and develop effective solutions.
- Check and prepare technical documents, undertake investigations and feasibility studies, assist with detailed design, support contract administration and supervise works on site to ensure compliance with safety, quality and specification requirements.
- Communicate clearly with stakeholders, monitor budgets, maintain up‑to‑date technical expertise, produce high‑quality documentation, utilise specialist software and modelling tools, and manage confidential information and technical equipment responsibly.
Requirements
- Specialist knowledge/skills in traffic engineering, highway design and maintenance, civil/structural engineering, or street lighting.
- Experience with feasibility studies, detailed design, contract administration, and on‑site supervision.
- Ability to prepare and review technical documents, use specialist software and modelling tools.
- Strong communication skills, stakeholder engagement, and budget monitoring.
- Professional judgement, safety and quality compliance knowledge.
