Senior Planning Enforcement Officer needed in Atherstone. This is a temporary contract paying £18.84ph PAYE.
The successful candidate will lead complex planning enforcement investigations, carrying out site visits, gathering evidence, and assessing breaches of planning control with sound professional judgement. They will provide clear, authoritative advice to colleagues, councillors, and the public, while negotiating effective solutions with developers and landowners to secure compliance.
They will prepare high‐quality reports, formal notices, and appeal statements, and confidently represent the authority at committees, hearings, and court proceedings. They will manage a varied caseload efficiently, mentor junior officers, and contribute to continuous service improvement through strong communication, analytical skills, and a firm but diplomatic approach.
