Adults & Children Solicitor needed in Swindon Paying Β£38.20 per hr ref 135109

Full time hours on a temporarybasis

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of adult social care and children's law matters from instruction through to conclusion.
  • Provide specialist legal advice on matters relating to child protection, care proceedings, safeguarding, fostering, adoption, special guardianship, and public law children's matters.
  • Advise on adult social care issues including the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, Court of Protection matters, safeguarding adults, and community care law.
  • Prepare and review legal documentation, including applications, pleadings, witness statements, agreements, reports, and legal correspondence.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, tribunals, case management hearings, and other legal forums.
  • Instruct and liaise with counsel, experts, social workers, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide clear, practical, and risk-based legal advice on complex and sensitive cases.
  • Conduct legal research and keep abreast of legislative developments, case law, and best practice.
  • Deliver training and legal guidance to colleagues and stakeholders where required.
  • Ensure files are managed effectively and in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.
