Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop traffic management and highway improvement schemes.
- Prepare traffic regulation orders (TROs), traffic calming measures, parking schemes, and junction improvements.
- Analyse traffic, accident, parking, and transport data to identify issues and recommend solutions.
- Undertake site visits, surveys, feasibility studies, and technical assessments.
- Produce technical reports, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Respond to enquiries from residents, councillors, developers, and stakeholders.
- Support the delivery of road safety initiatives and sustainable transport projects.
- Manage external consultants and contractors where required.
- Ensure schemes comply with current legislation, regulations, design standards, and health and safety requirements.
- Attend public consultations, meetings, and stakeholder engagement events.
