Overview: Environmental Protection Officer (Hybrid) – Barnstaple, £35ph PAYE
Location: Barnstaple; hybrid working arrangement.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct reactive and proactive interventions, including advice, inspections, investigations, audits, surveillance and other monitoring/survey activity, and the public health and environmental impact assessment of proposed development or licences/permitted processes.
- Promote environmental compliance to reduce the need for enforcement, such as by participating in business or consumer education programmes or by working with businesses on accreditation schemes.
Requirements:
- Driving licence and access to own vehicle.
- Ability to undertake environmental protection duties as described in the responsibilities.
Contract details:
This is a full-time role on a temporary contract basis.
