Resident Engagement Manager needed in Barking. This is a temporary role and the rate is £26.88ph PAYE.
The successful candidate will lead and manage a team of Resident Engagement Officers to deliver a responsive, high‑quality resident engagement function across social housing properties. They will ensure services meet and exceed the Regulator of Social Housing’s Transparency, Influence and Accountability Standard by embedding accessible communication, meaningful involvement, and clear routes for tenants to shape services.
They will oversee the delivery of programmes, campaigns, consultations and satisfaction‑measuring activities, and will lead the formation, operation and ongoing review of a Tenants’ Scrutiny Panel that reflects the diversity of the tenant population. They will champion a model of collaborative co‑production, giving all tenants genuine opportunities to influence service design, priorities and performance targets.
They will produce annual engagement reports, develop service plans and monitoring frameworks, and lead engagement activity for all categories of occupant, including leaseholders. They will also represent the service at regional forums, conferences and partnership events, ensuring resident engagement remains central to the development and improvement of housing services.
