Housing Benefit Systems Analyst needed in Addlestone. Paying £16.06 per hr. Full time hours on a temporary basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide operational systems administration for all software applications used by the Benefits Service.
- Ensure payment allocation and Benefits processing routines are completed accurately and on time to maintain up-to-date and reconciled systems.
- Produce Direct Debit and BACS income collection files accurately and promptly to maximise income collection and safeguard the authority’s interests regarding Housing Benefit overpayments.
- Maintain system integrity and optimise performance through regular housekeeping and monitoring routines.
- Implement new software releases, upgrades, and system enhancements, including comprehensive testing of functionality used within Benefits services.
- Work alongside the System Development and Monitoring Officer to document and update procedures efficiently and effectively.
- Support the rollout of projects within the service area and assist with the ongoing development of IT systems as directed by the Housing Benefits Technical Manager.
- Maintain system procedures in response to legislative and policy changes affecting Benefits services.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to the Benefits team.
