Vehicle Technician needed in Barnsley, £17.79ph PAYE – Reference: 000A 57D8 / 1
Responsibilities
- To inspect, repair and maintain the municipal fleet assets operated by the Client to the standard required by the relevant statutory and regulatory bodies
- To provide professional advice and guidance to the service users on municipal vehicle maintenance and repair.
- To carry out manual and physically demanding work associated with the repair and maintenance of a municipal fleet
- Ensure the Health & Safety of all resources within the post holder’s area of responsibility
- Maintain awareness of policies and procedures which impact on how the service is delivered.
- Prepare and present detailed results from complex diagnosis equipment
- Continuously review and evaluate service provision to ensure it is fit for purpose, drives continuous improvement and is effectively using available resources
- Contribute to policy development.
- Liaise, negotiate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including senior managers, employees and members of the public.
- Any other duties commensurate with the grade and falling within the scope of the post, as requested by management.
Contract details
This is a full time role on a temporary contract basis.
