Senior Governance & Committee Officer needed in Rochdale. Paying £21.14 per hr. Full time hours on a temporary basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support colleagues to ensure Committee Services meets business and organisational needs.
- Maintain and enhance committee support systems and procedures.
- Ensure statutory and legislative safeguarding standards are met.
- Support constitutional reviews and implement legislative changes.
- Advise elected members, senior managers, and committees on governance and decision‑making.
- Lead quality assurance activities and ensure compliance with local and legislative requirements.
- Build strong relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, partners, and customers.
- Deliver staff training and coaching on governance and decision‑focused procedures.
- Support the effective operation of school appeals, including administration and clerking.
