Mechanical Fitter

Overview

Mechanical Fitter needed in Knaresborough, £25ph PAYE – Reference: MF1

Responsibilities

• Rectify problems on mechanical assets such as conveyor belts, pumps, gearboxes, valves and cranes
• Carry out fabrication work and general workshop duties
• Be responsible for PPM and reactive maintenance work, ensuring the highest standards are set and maintained
• Assist with and actively participate in planned outages
• Operate workshop machinery, fabrication, and refurbishment
• Communicate problems and concerns promptly through line management ensuring quick resolution
• Assist in delivering Maintenance Team KPIs
• Effectively use the site CMMS system
• Participate in team briefings and toolbox talks
• Ensure full compliance with appropriate health, safety, quality and environmental standards, policies, and procedures
• Work safely and efficiently to the site safety rules, under a safe system of work

This is a Full time role on a temporary contract basis.
