The predicted salary is between 25 - 40 £ per hour.
Trading Standards Officer (Hybrid) needed in Chichester, £35.24ph PAYE - Reference: OR20577. Typically 4 days remote, with one day in the office (subject to agreement with your manager).
You will work closely with the Operational Manager and legal advisors to progress the scale and direction of the investigation, considering both criminal and civil enforcement as required. In addition to carrying out the roles of a Grade 9 Trading Standards Officer, you may also be asked to:
- Represent the Service on national professional groups
- Liaise with testing houses and manage related invoicing
- Manage the Service’s covert accounts and laptops
- Monitor planned spending
You will be required to give evidence at Court as necessary. You may be required to occasionally lift or carry heavy items, for example when manually handling stock in a warehouse or carrying bags of seized evidence. The job may involve some exposure to disagreeable and unpleasant persons and/or environmental conditions due to the nature of the regulatory compliance role being performed.
The nature of the work may require lengthy periods of concentration in order to determine answers to queries and provide advice and information as necessary. You will need to be able to travel independently to various locations across the county. This is a full-time role on a temporary contract basis.
