Apprentice Programme Officer needed in Barking £17.83ph PAYE. To assist the Apprenticeship and Career Development Manager on a range of activities to deliver the apprenticeship programme. This includes:

  • Registering new and existing employees on the digital levy account system and Itrent.
  • Providing support to line managers during the recruitment and appointment process.
  • Ensuring apprentices are enrolled on appropriate courses with approved training providers.
  • Monitoring apprentice retention, achievement and progression rates.
  • Day to day liaison with a range of partners and stakeholders to ensure the client, schools and apprentices all benefit from participating in a successful apprenticeship programme.

Specific Accountabilities of the Role:

  • Maintain the apprenticeship levy digital account, ensuring apprentice details are accurately recorded and regularly updated.
  • Process procurement-related activities through the YPO framework in accordance with the procurement policy.
  • Update Itrent with digital account records to generate monthly reports.
  • Process funding applications from approved training providers in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Providing advice and guidance to internal and external customers on how the levy works, including the appropriate apprenticeship standards for new and existing employees.
  • Monitor, update and record data on apprenticeship starts, retention and completion rates.
  • Produce monthly financial reports showing schools and levy transactions against agreed budgets.
  • Maintain positive and collaborative relationships as assigned, ensuring effective communication among apprentices, managers, educational institutions, training providers, and partner organisations.
