Resource Planner & Administrator

Location: Stevenage

Salary: £28,000 – £30,000 per annum

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm (4:00pm finish on Fridays)

About the Role

We are looking for a highly organised and customer-focused Resource Planner & Administrator to join our growing team. This is a pivotal role responsible for coordinating engineering resources, ensuring exceptional service delivery, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and colleagues. This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys planning, problem-solving, and working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule and allocate engineers, including subcontractors, to reactive service calls, ensuring resources are utilised efficiently.
  • Manage and action outstanding tasks relating to reactive maintenance works.
  • Coordinate the delivery and dispatch of materials to support engineer attendance.
  • Review and close completed jobs, ensuring all information is accurate and ready for invoicing.
  • Maintain engineer timesheets and resource records, providing reports as required.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer and colleague enquiries, resolving queries and concerns effectively.
  • Build strong client relationships and provide regular updates throughout the service process.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in planning, scheduling, administration, customer service, or a similar coordination role.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication skills and a professional telephone manner.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
