Role Summary and Impact
- Manage 3-4 digital PR accounts, being the primary contact for clients and leading implementation of strategy.
- Have a clear understanding of where everything on your accounts is up to, performance, client pressures etc.
- Spearhead client communications and internal meetings/calls.
- Clearly communicate with and delegate actions across the team.
- Lead on reporting / sharing results, wins, and areas for improvement with your clients.
- Drive results for clients through outreach.
- Use expertise and sound judgement to make decisions on stories, outreach strategies etc.
- Act as a sounding board for execs during outreach, offering ideas to improve pitches / methodologies.
- Draft and proof press releases / press assets.
- Effectively manage third party / supplier relationships.
- Support with and lead research tasks, creative briefings etc.
- Handle more advanced PR tasks, such as drafting survey questions.
- Be a role model to execs and the entire team, delivering best-practice digital PR and client servicing.
- Help with the training and development of execs/senior execs.
- Step up to support more senior team members where required.
- Understand team pressures and proactively suggest new ways or working and solutions.
- Hold team members to account to ensure delivery of strategies.
Skills and Experience
- Experience within a digital PR / PR role, preferably in one that required you to communicate directly with clients and / or stakeholders.
- A genuine passion and interest in digital PR and its potential within a marketing / comms strategy.
- A proven track-record of delivering impressive PR coverage and links for clients.
- Strong organisational skills and a meticulous eye for detail, with the ability to prioritise tasks based on client demands.
- A proactive attitude towards work, with an enthusiasm to try new things, continue to build your knowledge of digital PR/SEO/client servicing, and develop your role.
- Confidence leading different elements of digital PR production – such as copywriting and research.
- Proficiency using Excel / Google sheets for data inputting and an understanding of industry tools such as Buzzstream, Roxhill and Ahrefs.
