Role Summary and Impact
The Digital Director will work with senior clients to deliver best practice digital activity, whether activated in house or by the EMC team. The scope of this role is end-to-end with autonomy in creating the best reporting, measurement, and insight. You will have access to the latest tech and platforms from across WPP Media and WPP with internal support from Systems Intelligence, Business Science, and external influence from Choreograph.
Responsibilities of the role
Client Service:
- Be the key digital contact and escalation point for the senior clients, actively engage and build client strong relationships.
- Provide thought leadership, opinion, and introductions to EssenceMediacom’s specialist services.
Strategy & Planning:
- Lead strategic digital partner relations and ensure that the clients are getting access to the relevant Betas, studies, and research.
- Lead the digital learning agenda and report back insights and results gathered from testing.
- Support digital strategy development in conjunction with the in‑house teams and help them deliver best practice through consultation.
- Ensure that long‑term digital strategies are being delivered through day‑to‑day planning.
Commercials:
- Work with the BDs and Digital Partner to drive new revenue growth.
- Ensure that the digital teams develop and maintain a rigorous set of operational processes around campaign budget management and reconciliation, as well as a focus on trading.
Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead & inspire the digital team members on all things digital.
- Manage projects, planning & activation workflows across the team and ensure that all campaign and project deadlines are met and client SLAs adhered to.
