Join Our Team: Esse Health is currently seeking a full-time Medical Assistant for our Swansea Internal Medicine Office located at 4 Park Place in Swansea, IL!
Full-time opening Monday, 7:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., Tuesday & Wednesday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:45 p.m., Thursday, 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. and rotating Fridays.
Outpatient clinical practice.
Day-to-Day:
- Perform back office functions
- Assist the provider in the interviewing, examination and treatment of patients
- Measure vital signs such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight and height
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record (NextGen)
- Coordinate care with other members of the healthcare team
Who we are seeking (preferred):
- The Medical Assistant is highly visible in their interactions with patients and must therefore project a positive office image at all times including smiling, greeting patients with enthusiasm, and maintaining an upbeat, positive attitude in all interactions with patients and coworkers.
- Formal training which will probably be indicated by a graduation certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- CPR Certification.
- Medical coding familiarity.
- Willingness to assign high priority to patient comfort and satisfaction.
- Ability to communicate effectively and to work compatibly with physicians, coworkers, and employees in other departments.
