About the Internship
EET Fuels is offering two 8‑week summer internships within the IT team at the Stanlow Refinery. These site‑based roles provide hands‑on experience in a large, operational industrial environment and the opportunity to work alongside experienced IT professionals.
- IT Intern – Data Management
- This role focuses on Master Data Management and data analysis, supporting the quality, structure, and lifecycle of business‑critical data.
- You will:
- Support master data cleansing, review, closure, and archiving activities
- Analyse transactional data to identify improvement opportunities
- Assist with data quality and governance initiatives
- Help document data processes and controls
- Work with IT and business stakeholders to understand data usage and requirements
- This role provides practical experience supporting IT infrastructure and site operations.
- You will:
- Assist the IT Infrastructure Manager with daily IT activities
- Support desktop, hardware, and user set‑ups
- Provide second‑line support and basic troubleshooting
- Help manage IT support ticket queues
- Assist with documentation of IT systems, procedures, and changes
Both roles are ideal for students looking to gain real‑world IT experience in a complex industrial setting.
About You

- A current student studying a relevant IT‑related degree, such as Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Management, Data Analytics, or a related discipline

As this is a fully site-based role, applicants must be within commutable distance of Stanlow, Cheshire for the full 8-week duration of the placement.
