We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Territory Manager – Business Development (Midlands) who will play a key role in driving EET Retail’s growth across the Midlands region. Reporting to the Regional Manager – BD (Midlands), you will identify new retail fuel site opportunities, support dealer conversions, manage a strong business development pipeline, and conduct thorough due diligence. You’ll build and maintain effective relationships with brokers, dealers, landowners, and local authorities, while supporting commercial negotiations and generating high‑quality leads. This role is central to ensuring acquisitions and onboarding activities are completed efficiently and in line with EET Retail’s network strategy.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support delivery of the Midlands Business Development plan in line with EET Retail’s growth strategy.
- Identify and screen potential retail fuel sites, dealer conversion opportunities, and strategic partnerships.
- Build, maintain, and grow a strong pipeline of qualified leads.
- Conduct initial commercial assessments, site visits, and due diligence activities.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with brokers, dealers, property agents, landowners, and local authorities.
- Represent EET Retail professionally in meetings, discussions, and regional forums.
- Support negotiations and commercial engagements under RM guidance.
- Ensure compliance with BD governance processes, legal requirements, and internal controls.
- Support HSE assessments, due diligence, and safe site practices, following EET Retail’s safety-first principles.
- Maintain accurate BD pipeline records and provide timely updates to the RM BD.
- Prepare site visit reports, commercial summaries, and decision-support documents.
- Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and regional property developments and share insights regularly.
- Support implementation of Stanlow HSE and quality management requirements.
- Ensure activities remain accountable, auditable, and risk-aware, promoting compliance with OSM standards and contractor management expectations.
- Assist in continuous improvement of BD processes and cost efficiency.
- Identify opportunities to streamline due diligence and onboarding workflows.
- Work with internal teams to support cost‑effective site evaluations and BD activities.
- Support adoption of digital tools, CRM systems, pipeline platforms, and reporting dashboards.
- Collaborate with IT and BD leadership to embed appropriate digital solutions.
- Ensure accurate data capture and effective use of digital insights.
About You
Our ideal candidate will be a motivated professional with a background ideally supported by a bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Real Estate, or a related field. Our work spans retail fuels, property acquisition, site development, and broader downstream commercial activities, so experience in any of these areas is highly valued. Familiarity with due diligence, commercial assessment, or property negotiations will also be advantageous. We pride ourselves on strong stakeholder relationships, so excellent engagement and relationship‑building skills are essential, alongside solid commercial awareness and a foundational understanding of financial principles. The role requires someone who is analytical, detail‑oriented, and capable of producing high‑quality written reports, while demonstrating integrity, resilience, and a proactive approach to challenges. As our opportunities span the Midlands region, the ability to travel regularly is important.
