Working as part of the marketing team, this role is pivotal in presenting a wide range of networking hardware products online and pushing them through various promotional activities on the website. Your excellent command of the English language and superb organisational skills will be put into practice. You will be producing simple yet highly effective graphic designs and imagery for website listings, promotional emails and social media posts. You will develop an understanding of customers' needs in order to merchandise products correctly and efficiently. Liaising with external manufacturers and distributors, you'll be responsible for the upkeep of several brands portfolios. Working closely with teams internally, you'll be helping to continually improve the customer experience, attract new customers, retain existing ones and support the company's position of 'experts in networks' within the industry. (Training and support will be provided).
Key Tasks
- Creating and optimising product listings, adhering to in-house guidelines
- Creating on-site collateral such as article images, adverts and emails, using Photoshop and the in-house eCRM
- Creating promotional and educational content, making use of AI as a copy-writing assistant, before humanising the content into the company's house style with a tone of voice to target the audience's persona and needs
- Creating product comparison charts to aid customers' buying decisions
- Assisting in sourcing new products in line with company objectives for multiple vendor portfolios
- Collaborating with the marketing team, and also with the internal sales and support teams
- HTML coding and creation of emails to our customer-base, using MailChimp
- Working closely with select external brands to ensure our portfolio of listed products is regularly updated
- Actively sourcing new and engaging content for social media channels
- Sourcing and publishing the latest product reviews and awards from industry experts
- Helping to identify new and creative ways to drive and improve the customer experience online
- Ensuring that inbound calls are answered and dealt with accordingly
- Meeting and greeting customers attending on-premise training sessions
- Undertaking any additional tasks reasonably required by the company
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Meticulous use of the English language with excellent attention to detail and a real passion for accurate grammar
- Sound knowledge of Photoshop for cutting out, manipulating and creating product and promotional imagery
- Previous marketing experience within a B2B setting
- Proven graphic design and copywriting skills will be a distinct advantage
- Competency in HTML coding
- Great interpersonal skills and a real common sense approach, with the ability to take initiative
- An interest in technology or networking hardware is also advantageous
Location and working hours
Full-time, office-based role in Milton Keynes Mon to Fri, 9am to 5.30pm
