We are recruiting a Trainer / Instructor / Assessor for a long-established consultancy and industrial skills training company. The company delivers training to around 10,000 candidates a year in Lifting Operations, Health & Safety, Streetworks, Construction, Plant Machinery, Transport and Civil Engineering disciplines to all industry sectors.
Location: Stonehouse, Gloucestershire
Hours: 08:00 - 16:45 Monday to Friday
Start date: Immediate
Salary: Β£28,000 to Β£40,000 per annum, depending on experience and training delivery.
Job purpose: Execute training and training support services to customers worldwide. Consult with management and customers to ensure that services delivered fit all requirements. Represent the company professionally and promote its services.
Responsibilities:
- Train people in specific skills and knowledge areas, both in classroom and on sites.
- Work within a team of other Trainers and Support Staff.
- Demonstrate, train and assess to specific requirements β theoretical & practical.
- Use various training methods and techniques.
- Travel to UK locations and occasionally abroad to deliver training.
- Stay away from home when required.
- Represent the company on customer sites.
- Understand the needs of trainees and their managers.
- Apply best industry practice and current Health & Safety legislation.
- Complete pre- and post-training documentation.
- Communicate efficiently with trainees, customers and company personnel.
- Use company IT equipment and software effectively.
- Follow and adhere to all safety standards.
- Maintain a smart & safe appearance (dress code).
- Be independent, resourceful, and manage time and workload.
- Communicate with team members at all levels.
- Work individually and as part of a team.
- Ensure all duties are performed in line with company procedures.
- Perform any other reasonable duties requested by management.
Qualifications and experience:
- Minimum 3 years relevant sector experience.
- DBS checked and eligible for security clearances.
- Level 3 teaching and/or assessor qualification; instructor card or "Train the Trainer" qualifications accepted where relevant.
- EFAW qualified and hold a general Health & Safety qualification (NEBOSH, IOSH, etc.).
- Relevant sector instructor/operator licences.
- Driving licence and passport where required.
