We're currently recruiting a dedicated Porter (Zero Hours) to help ensure the smooth running of the operations in Eurest on a permanent casual basis, contracted to 0 hours per week. As a Porter (Zero Hours), you will use your skills to maintain a high standard of quality work. Core Duties & Responsibilities- Food Transportation & Logistics
- Transporting bulk food, meal trolleys between central kitchens, and linked units areas.
- Loading and unloading catering vehicles, managing the safe delivery of catering supplies, stock, and frozen/chilled foods across multi-site operations.
- Rotating stock and date-labelling food items to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Kitchen & Equipment Maintenance
- Operating industrial dishwashers, pot-washing areas, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness for all kitchen utensils, crockery, and cutlery.
- Ensuring food storage areas, freezers, and refrigerators are hygienic, tidy, and organised.
- Clearing away waste and refuse from food preparation areas and disposing of it in accordance with environmental and hygiene regulations.
- Event & Service Support
- Setting up and breaking down dining areas, rearranging furniture, and preparing equipment for events.
- Assisting kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks (e.g., peeling, chopping, washing) and portioning when needed.
