We are seeking an experienced Domestic Manager to lead the delivery of high quality cleaning services within a busy healthcare environment. This role is critical in ensuring full compliance with NHS Cleaning Standards, Infection Prevention & Control (IPC) requirements, and key service KPIs.

You will take ownership of domestic service delivery across the hospital, leading supervisors and frontline teams to maintain exceptional cleanliness standards, support clinical priorities, and enhance the overall patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead domestic services in line with NHS standards, IPC protocols, and company policies
  • Maintain audit-ready environments and support internal and external inspections
  • Manage, coach, and develop supervisors and ward-based teams
  • Promote a strong health & safety culture, managing incidents and corrective actions
  • Build effective relationships with matrons, ward managers, and wider facilities teams
  • Oversee rotas, staffing levels, training compliance, and labour budgets
  • Drive continuous improvement through audits, feedback, and patient insight

About You

  • Proven operational management experience within hospital domestics, housekeeping, or Soft FM
  • Strong working knowledge of NHS Cleaning Standards and IPC
  • Confident leader of large, diverse frontline teams
  • Highly organised, resilient, and calm in fast-paced clinical environments
  • Passionate about delivering excellent patient experience, safety, and service quality
  • Demonstrated success in achieving KPIs and compliance benchmarks
