We are looking for a driven and people focused Catering Manager to oversee our catering services at Meriden Hospital, part of our prestigious Medirest Signature portfolio within Circle Health Group, the UK's leading independent healthcare provider.
Working in partnership with an on site Head Chef, you will take full responsibility for the full catering operation, ensuring exceptional service delivery, team performance, and a first class experience for patients, staff, and visitors.
What You Will Be Doing
As Catering Manager, you will be the operational lead ensuring everything runs smoothly, efficiently, and to the highest standards. You will:
- Take full responsibility for the catering operation, from service delivery to compliance and performance
- Lead and inspire your team by managing, coaching, and developing staff to deliver consistently high standards
- Work closely with the Head Chef to align operational efficiency with food quality and patient needs
- Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, responding to feedback and evolving requirements
- Drive financial performance by managing labour, food costs, and budgets effectively
- Ensure full compliance with food safety, allergens, and healthcare regulations
- Plan resources effectively to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery
What We Are Looking For
We are seeking someone who thrives in a fast paced environment and is passionate about delivering excellent service through strong leadership. You will ideally have:
- Experience as a Catering Manager or similar operational leadership role, ideally within contract catering or healthcare
- Proven ability to lead, engage, and develop high performing teams
- Experience managing client or stakeholder relationships
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to manage budgets and control costs
- Solid understanding of food safety, compliance, and regulatory requirements
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- IT literacy including Microsoft Office and email systems
