About the Role
ESS has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Cleaning Contract Manager to lead the cleaning operations at Goodenough College in London. This is a key leadership role where you'll be responsible for delivering high standards of cleanliness and service in line with client expectations and Compass Group procedures.
The ideal candidate will have strong operational and people management skills, as well as the ability to maintain high standards in a busy, customer-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure high-quality cleaning services are delivered in accordance with the client's service level agreement and company standards
- Implement and uphold Compass policies, procedures, and health & safety regulations (including COSHH)
- Lead, motivate and manage the cleaning team effectively
- Oversee the cleaning labour, equipment, and resources budget
- Manage third-party suppliers and contractors as required
- Maintain appropriate stock levels of consumables and cleaning supplies
- Handle customer feedback, including complaints and compliments, professionally and promptly
- Monitor and meet key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Keep the team informed and compliant with any updates to company processes and procedures
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Previous experience in a similar contract or facilities management role
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, including COSHH
- Excellent people management and leadership skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good numerical skills and budget management experience
- Proficient with IT systems and digital reporting tools
