We are looking for an F&B shift lead, responsible for supervising store operations during assigned shifts, ensuring excellent customer service, food safety compliance, and team performance in line with Subway brand standards. You will also assist in the development and training of Sandwich Artists. The role supports the Store Manager in achieving sales targets, maintaining operational excellence, and creating a positive working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure food storage and preparation areas are maintained according to Health & Safety standards.
  • Lead and supervise team members during shifts to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Deliver excellent customer service in line with Subway UK standards.
  • Ensure compliance with UK food safety, health & hygiene, and allergen regulations.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, freshness, and presentation.
  • Support the store manager with training, coaching, and supporting team members, including new starters.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the store, including food preparation.
  • Support stock control, deliveries, waste reduction.
  • Opening and closing the store according to procedures and daily paperwork.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in fast-food, retail, or hospitality environment preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
  • Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Excellent teamwork skills.
  • Strong organizational and decision-making skills in fast-paced environments.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks while maintaining high standards.
  • As an active role, you must be comfortable with walking and standing during the majority of your shift.
