Role Description
This is a temporary, on-site Joiner role based in central belt. The Joiner will carry out a range of commercial joinery tasks, including fitting and repairing doors, frames, skirtings, and partitions in offices, retail units, and other commercial properties. Daily responsibilities include interpreting drawings, taking accurate measurements, cutting and installing materials, and completing high-quality finishes within agreed timescales. The role will also involve contributing to office fit-outs and shopfitting projects, assisting with reactive repairs, and supporting planned maintenance works as required. The Joiner will be expected to follow health and safety procedures, coordinate with other trades, and maintain a tidy, safe working environment on client sites.
Qualifications
- Time-served Joiner or equivalent trade qualification (e.g., SVQ/NVQ in Carpentry and Joinery) with proven experience in commercial or industrial environments.
- Strong practical joinery skills, including first fix, second fix, and finishing work such as fitting doors, frames, architraves, and skirtings.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions accurately.
- Sound knowledge of site health and safety practices and safe use of hand and power tools.
- Experience in office fit-outs, shopfitting, or similar project-based commercial joinery work is highly beneficial.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites within the local area, as required.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
