Become a key part of Environmental and Safety Solutions Inc., a quality-driven, customer-focused team dedicated to delivering excellence. We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Safety Manager for a large construction company in New Carlisle, IN. This project will start May 1st, 2025.

Job Summary

As a Construction Safety Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring workplace safety, compliance, and best practices on a large-scale steel erection project. Your expertise in steel erection safety, OSHA regulations, and construction site risk management will be critical in maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and enforce safety policies and procedures specific to steel erection and large steel projects.
  • Conduct daily site inspections to identify and mitigate safety hazards.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, ANSI, and other regulatory standards.
  • Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions for workers.
  • Monitor rigging and crane operations to enforce safe lifting practices.
  • Implement and oversee fall protection programs, including harnesses, guardrails, and netting.
  • Investigate accidents and near-misses, providing reports and corrective actions.
  • Develop Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and site-specific safety plans.
  • Ensure all employees are properly trained and equipped with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain all safety documentation, incident reports, and training records.
  • Work closely with project managers, site supervisors, and field teams to maintain a culture of safety.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • OSHA 510 certification required (CHST preferred or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in large steel projects.
  • Extensive steel erection experience is a MUST.
  • 5-7 years of construction safety management experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in writing reports and using computer systems for documentation.
  • Ability to start the project by May 1st, 2025.
  • Local candidates preferred, but per diem is available for non-local hires.
