ESS Employment Ltd are looking to employ a Trainee Swimming Pool Engineer to work with an established client, to deliver safe, high-quality service, maintenance, fault-finding, installation, and commissioning on swimming pool and spa plant across commercial, leisure, hospitality, and public-sector sites.
Duties for the role:
- Service, maintain, and install water treatment equipment, including chemical dosing, UV, filtration, and swimming pool water treatment plant.
- Assist with tank cleaning and filter inspections.
- Assist with diagnosing and resolving control system faults on pool plant and associated equipment.
- Complete installations, upgrades, and commissioning of pool equipment and pipework.
- Build and maintain honest, professional relationships with customers, providing clear recommendations and solutions.
- Take swimming pool samples, ensuring sampling paperwork is accurate and returned to laboratories.
- Follow site-specific Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS) for all works.
- Support the production of accurate service reports, update asset registers, and contribute to continuous improvement within ISO 9001 quality processes.
- Provide clear pre-visit requirements (access, isolations) and post-visit handovers, including operator training as required.
- Attend quarterly engineering meetings at Head Office to share lessons learned, standardise practices, and receive technical updates.
- Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues, both verbally and in writing.
