ESS Employment Ltd are looking to employ a Trainee Swimming Pool Engineer to work with an established client, to deliver safe, high-quality service, maintenance, fault‑finding, installation, and commissioning on swimming pool and spa plant across commercial, leisure, hospitality, and public‑sector sites.

Responsibilities

  • Service, maintain, and install water treatment equipment, including chemical dosing, UV, filtration, and swimming pool water treatment plant.
  • Assist with tank cleaning and filter inspections.
  • Assist with diagnosing and resolving control system faults on pool plant and associated equipment.
  • Complete installations, upgrades, and commissioning of pool equipment and pipework.
  • Build and maintain honest, professional relationships with customers, providing clear recommendations and solutions.
  • Take swimming pool samples, ensuring sampling paperwork is accurate and returned to laboratories.
  • Follow site‑specific Risk Assessments occasional nights away (Essential).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral; confident telephone manner and good IT skills.
  • Well organised with high attention to detail; able to multi‑task and work well under pressure.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a wider engineering team.
  • Customer‑focused, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement.
