VACANCY – HGV2 DRIVER
ESS Employment are recruiting HGV2 Driver to support a local client with deliveries. This role will involve transporting goods in a safe and timely manner, deliver exceptional service while ensuring compliance with transportation regulations, prioritising safety and customer satisfaction in every delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Operate Class 2 HGV vehicles to execute multi-drop deliveries efficiently.
- Adhere strictly to the transport plan while ensuring timely deliveries.
- Comply with all UK traffic laws, regulations and safety standards.
- Secure loads safely to prevent any damage or accidents during transit.
- Provide outstanding customer service, representing the company positively at all delivery sites.
- A flexible approach to working with varied demands of a busy transport team
- Carry out pre-shift defect checks
- Full training and supervision will be provided on induction
- Any other duties commensurate with the role
The candidate:
- Ideally have multidrop experience and held an HGV license for 1 year minimum (although maybe some exceptions)
- Valid Class 2/cat C HGV driving license.
- Valid CPC and Taco card
- Less then six points on your licence (as well as no DD,DR,DG,BA,CD,AC,LC
- Strong understanding of driver’s hours.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safety and a customer-first approach
